Die Protestbewegung, die im Herbst 2009 von Wien ihren Ausgang nahm und europaweit für Unruhe an den Hochschulen sorgte, ist bis heute an kein Ende gelangt. Dennoch oder gerade deshalb ist es sinnvoll, das bisher Geschehene auch theoretisch zu reflektieren. Dieser Band versucht dies im Lichte der zentralen Denkpositionen Gramscis und versammelt Texte sowohl von ausgewiesenen ExpertInnen als auch von aktivistischen Studierenden und Lehrenden. Gesellschaftstheorie wird so mit studentischer Selbstreflexion in Bezug gesetzt, um einen Beitrag zu aktuellen bildungspolitischen Diskussionszusammenhängen zu leisten. Weiters versteht sich das Buch als theoretische Intervention in die Proteste, aus denen es selbst hervorgegangen ist.
