Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde des kurdischen Films,

der Verband der Kurdischen Vereine - FEYKOM veranstaltet heuer zum fünften Mal „Sercawan - Kurdische Filmwoche“ unter der Schirmherrschaft des Kulturstadtrat Dr. Andreas Mailath-Pokorny. Die kurdische Filmwoche wird seit 1999, in zweijähriger Periode veranstaltet und bietet ein interessantes und qualitativ hochwertiges Programm an.

Sercawan präsentiert allerhand preisgekrönte oder dafür nominierte Filme von RegisseurInnen aus allen vier Teilen Kurdistans und aus Europa. Wir haben auch heuer nicht vergessen als Ausdruck unserer Solidarität und als Zeichen für das „Europäische Jahr des interkulturellen Dialogs“ einen jüdischen- und einen armenischen Film zu zeigen.

Die „5. Kurdische Filmwoche“ findet vom 9. bis 16. Oktober im De France- und Votiv Kino in Wien statt. Am Donnerstag den 9. Oktober 2008 findet um 19.30 Uhr die Eröffnung der Kurdischen Filmwoche im Votiv Kino, mit dem Film „Close up Kurdistan“ statt.
